Sassarese, Gallurese, Logudorese and Campidanese are Romance varieties traditionally spoken in different areas of Sardinia.

Algherese is a Catalan variety spoken around Alghero, while Tabarchino is a Ligurian variety spoken mainly on Carloforte and Calasetta.

Patterns to notice

Unu is widespread The word for one is very similar across the table: unu in Sassarese, Gallurese, Logudorese and Campidanese, with un in Algherese and ün in Tabarchino.
Algherese Catalan link Algherese forms such as dos, tres, quatre, cinc, sis, set, vuit, nou and deu clearly show a Catalan connection.
Tabarchino Ligurian flavour Tabarchino forms such as duì, trài, quattru, sinque, sêtte, öttu, növe and dexe stand out visually from the Sardinian forms.
Sardinian variation Logudorese and Campidanese often stay close, but forms such as bàtor / cuatro and chimbe / cincu show important internal variation.
